About Us
Korson's Tree Farms is a second-generation evergreen farm.
Wayne Korson, a graduate of Central Michigan University, established the farm in 1973. Wayne served on the Michigan Christmas Tree Association Board of Directors for ten years, serving as President for two years. Wayne was the National Director representing Michigan to the National Christmas Tree Association for six years. He was inducted into the Michigan Christmas Tree Association Hall of Fame in 2010 for his years of committment and service to the industry.
In 2003, Rex Korson bought the business from his father, Wayne. Rex is a graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in Marketing. Rex served on the Michigan Christmas Tree Association Board of Directors for nine years, three of which he was President. Rex has served on many advisories committees throughout the industry.
Korson's Tree Farms won the Michigan Christmas Tree Association's coveted Grand Champion tree in 2007. Korson's took first place in the spruce category at the 2009 National Christmas Tree Association Tree Competition.
